Colorado State University, Lory Student Center Main Ballroom
CONNECT Mind Body Spirit is an event designed to enhance Colorado State University’s students, faculty, staff and Fort Collins community on the knowledge of complementary and alternative wellness practices related to the mind body spirit connection. We invite you to contribute to the quality of programs offered at this year’s event by submitting a program proposal that builds upon this theme. Objectives set forth by the committee for the 2010 vendor fair include:
- Enhance participant’s knowledge of complementary and alternative wellness practices related to the mind body spirit connection
- Provide experiential, interactive booths to offer introductory learning through observation, experience, testimony or other, and provide guidance for continued learning
- Provide mini-introduction educational sessions provided by vendors
- Vendor topics must have evidence-based support to be considered
This year, the CONNECT Mind Body Spirit committee is pleased to announce the 2010 keynote: Sarah Susanka, F.A.I.A.; Author of The Not So Big House series, Home by Design and The Not So Big Life.
Program Guidelines
The following guidelines are suggested as you plan booth display and activities:
- Participants will include the CSU students, faculty/staff and the local community.
- Participants may have varied levels of knowledge and experience with the topics, but please offer introductory information for those new to your topic.
- Highly participatory formats are generally most well received, and participants will have a wide variety of learning styles.
- Please provide handouts and other take away information that guide participants towards continued development.
- Feel free to advertise your business services by providing business cards and other marketing material.
- All vendors must have topics related to a facet(s) of the mind body spirit connection.
- Vendors are offered an opportunity to participate in the CONNECT Mind Body Spirit vendor fair for a small fee of $30; creating an environment that embraces and encourages pure education.
- Vendors will not be permitted to charge a fee for services during the fair (i.e. 5 min reflexology, aura cleansing).
